chapter-4-copy

Discuss ways to care for your emotional, and physical health. How can you get enough quiet time, sleep, and exercise? Talk to other women about self esteem, methods to reduce stress, how to organize your personal life with techniques and tools, and how to handle negative people in your life who can hinder your education.

Aaahhhh… This is what I need. I’m looking forward to getting back to “me” after so many years of caring for others.

Yes – you must learn to SCHEDULE time for yourself just as you would for other family members and commitments. YOU are important and you must treat yourself as though you deserve private time for yourself. Don’t go on with your day and “hope” that you can find some time for yourself – you must make time for yourself.

I start my day early (3:00 a.m.) before the rest of the world is up. Thi is my quiet time of prayer and study. Once I’ve put in those 8 hours, it’s then all about my family once I get home. I do morning stretches but really want to squeeze in an exercies program. I’m thinking of including the kids in this so it won’t seem like I’m taking myself away from them. They only get me for a few hours between their after-school and bed time. They could benefit from the daily exercise too. Thanks.
